Whereas
consultuants in the Investor Owned Enterprises should price their
services based on the increase of ROI that they help the corporation
achieve, the Cooperative world is about improving benefits to
its members, not maximizing profit.
I prefer to neogotiate a
price for the project. My hourly rate will relflect the need
to pay self-employment taxes, any professional fees, and still
provide a living wage for myself that is similar to what I make
as a manager for a worker cooperative.
Part of
the benefit hiring me to help your cooperative is that you will
not have to spend billable hours teaching me about cooperatives.
I provide discounts for
members of the US Federation
of Worker Cooperatives and the Madison
Association of Worker Cooperatives.
There is no charge for intial
discussions about the project.
I
can work with your and your party on-line or make a site visit.
In some cases, site visits might be required. If I need to visit
outside of Madison, WI , we will need to discuss costs related
to travelling. |
